Carla Jean Wable, born November 21, 1963, passed from this earth to be with the Lord on August 13, 2016. She was born in Salem,Indiana to P.V. Whitefield and Anna (Owens) Whitefield.

Carla is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dennis Wable; daughters, Ashley Stephens and Karol Hewson; son, Justin Wable; seven grandchildren, Anthony Stephens, Adryn Stephens, Emmalin Stephens, Eli Wable,Natalie Motter, Zane, Hewson, and Kenzie Hewson; sister, Nila McKowski;brother, Lester Whitefield; and her sister-at-heart, Teresa Hensley.

Carla has been battling cancer since December 13, 2013 and her body just couldn’t take anymore.

Carla graduated from Anderson High School in 1981 and then married the love of her life, Dennis Wable. Her grandchildren were very important to her and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed collecting cookie jars.

Carla was greatly loved by all her family and friends. She never met a stranger. She attended Columbus Avenue Church of Christ inAnderson, Indiana. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

Heaven needed an angel and they got the best.

I will love you and will always love you until I’m with you again.

Visitation with the family is Wednesday, August 17, 1:00– 3:00 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services. The service will follow at 3:00 with Pastor Gary Meeker officiating.
