Chris W. Lane, age 62, of Anderson, passed away at Bethany Pointe Health Campus on June 15, 2021. He was born on May 23, 1959 to the late Warner and Norma Lane.
Chris was a graduate of Anderson High School, Class of 1978. Throughout his life Chris worked at Hills Department store, as an EMT, and even traveled to different schools teaching CPR. Prior to his illness, Chris enjoyed photography, crafting, playing bingo, playing the organ and purchasing scratch off tickets. He was always cracking jokes whenever he could and loved dressing up for any holiday in funny costumes. He was a sweet spirit who was always good to everyone. His family describes him as an avid prankster, the life of the party. He was an amazing grandpa and his pride and joy was his family and being able to spend all his time with them. He was a friend to everyone and didn’t know a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chris is survived by his daughter Amy Camacho (Armando); granddaughters Madeline, Mckenzie, and Micaela; brothers Walter Lane (Lori) and Derek Lane (Tonia); nieces and nephews Nicole, Devin, Trevor, Sarah, Kathleen, and Carla’ great nieces and nephew Lexzan, Doran, Heaven, Kenzie, Hayden, and Morgan, Megan, and Paisley; and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above; brother Rex Lane; nephew baby M.; and special friend Linda Lane.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 from 3-5pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service Anderson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Pointe for their care and compassion towards Chris.

Chris was more than a friend. He was like a brother to me. He got me out of my shell when I didn’t want to go anywhere. He always made me laugh and smile. He had a special place in my heart. He will never be forgotten ♥

When I lived at Longfellow plaza so did Chris. My mother and sister lived there as well. Chris and my mom would sit for hours and play Yatzee. He was my brother from another mother as he would say. Give my mom a big hug for me. I love you brother.
Chris always had a place in my heart and the could always put a smile on your face he had the biggest heart a person could have he would d anything for anyone if he could he will be missed dearly. R.I.P. Chris and watch over us until we meet again
