Christina D. Sarvis, age 44, of Anderson, passed away on February 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Christmas Eve, 1978 to Terry Wayne Sarvis Sr. and Cindy Rigdon Alfrey.
Christina was a graduate of Highland High School, Class of 1997. Later in life she worked in the Anderson Community School Systems in the food department. Christina was a great person to be around. She was loving, giving, and honest even when you didn’t want to hear it. Her family and friends knew her as “wiener” and she carried that nickname her entire life. She enjoyed family get-togethers, riding motorcycles, spending time with her granddaughter Octavia, and giving Johnny a hard time. She loved to relax and sit on her mothers-in-law front porch with family. She was a wonderful mother, partner, sister, daughter, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Christina is survived by her partner of 11 years, John Banta; children Kyle Stanley and Tori Banta; her parents Terry Wayne Sarvis Sr. and Cindy Alfrey; her son’s father Ernest Stanley; siblings Dawn Young, Jeffery Sarvis, Taylor Sarvis, Tia Lacy, and Ashley Lacy; granddaughter Octavia; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family; mother-in-law Brenda Banta; father-in-law Virgil Patterson; brother-in-law Sammy Banta; sisters-in-law Ashley Patterson, Tresnie Patterson and Christina Patterson; and special caretaker, aunt, and friend Melinda Ruster.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Hubert and Lillian Rigdon and Phyllis and Wayne Sarvis Sr.; brother Terry Wayne Sarvis Jr., stepmother Carlotta Sarvis; and stepfather Gary Alfrey.
A visitation will be held on Thursday February 23, 2023, from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
