March 31, 1949 ~ April 23, 2018
Edward L. Heiney, 69, passed away on April 23, 2018 at Community Hospital.
Ed graduated from Anderson High School in 1967. He worked at Heiney’s Garage, retired from USF Holland, and was a member of the Teamsters #135. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on hot rods, racing Formula Fords on dirt tracks, watching John Wayne movies, and hanging out in the garage with his buddies. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Left to treasure Ed’s memory is his wife of thirty years, Patty; children, Mike Heiney, Melissa (Shawn) Paul, Sara (Nick) Lockhart, and Ryan Heiney; siblings, Dwana Heiney (Pete Foust) and Moyne Heiney; fifteen grandchildren; several extended family members; and numerous close friends.
Preceding Ed in death are his parents, Duane “Red” and Barbara Heiney, and his grandparents.
Visitation is Friday, April 27 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services. The service is at 5:00 with the Honorable Judge Thomas Newman presiding.
The family wished to express special thanks to the ICU staff at Community Hospital for their gentle care of Ed.

To Ed’s family-This is sad news. Ed was a friend and schoolmate. Always a great person and a great personality. Always a smile. I will miss him.
I do not know if it’s just me or if perhaps everybody
