Edwin “Ed” J. Cook
90, of McCordsville, IN passed away on July 4, 2017. He was born on April 19, 1927 in Greencastle, IN to the late Homer and Martha Lucille Cook. Ed was a graduate of Reelsville High School. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1946, and received the rank of Corporal. Ed was a member of the Little Zion United Baptist Church.
Edwin is survived by his: wife, Alma Cook; children, Paul (Sonnie) Cook, Greg (Sandra) Cook, Jill Cook, and Donna Cook; step-children, Connie Daniels, Michael Daniels, and Darryl (Jennifer) Daniels; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his: wife, Patricia Colene Cook; son, Robert Cook; along with parents.
Funeral service will be 1pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with visitation from 11am until the time of service. Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland, 21741-5014 for Parkinson’s Research.
There are so many pleasant memories, those as neighbors, and especially the vacations at Dietz Lake that brought us together as family. Don’t go down the slide Ed dive off the tower and if you loose your trunks … just smile! Craig Sprinkle
