Henry A. Hall, age 89, of Indianapolis, IN died at his residence on Saturday, May 14, 2016. He was born on November 15, 1926 in Tampa, FL to the late Chauncey and Lenna Bell (Lightfoot) Hall.
Henry served his country in the US Navy from 1944 until his retirement in 1973. After retiring from the military he began a second career with the State of Indiana working with veterans and helping them to find employment. He retired from that position in 1993. He pursued studies in Agricultural Science at Purdue University earning his bachelor’s degree in 1956. He was an active member of the Mason’s and Scottish Rite where he was a 32nd degree. He also was a member of Toastmasters International.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Hall; sons, Thomas A. (Mary J. Epple) Hall and Daniel C. Hall; 2 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Hall and nephews, Jerry Lee, Doug and Dennis Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William C. Hall.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN. Donations in Mr. Hall’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
