Noblesville – Joanne A. Sullivan, 90, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 17, 1927 to the late Joseph and Gladys (Whitman) Strauss.
Joanne was a nurse for most of her life. She was an active member of Cicero Christian Church, and most recently started attending Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cicero. When it came to her granddaughters sporting events, Joanne was their #1 fan. She was deep in her faith and loved the Lord. Joanne loved animals and was the families go-to animal sitter. She loved her family, especially her granddaughters Jade and Sage, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Joanne is survived by her son Mike Sullivan (Jane), granddaughters Jade Wentz (James) and Sage Sullivan (Ben Moss), sister Jeannie Cooper.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years John L. Sullivan, parents Joseph and Gladys Strauss, and brother Gerald Strauss.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Hamilton Co. Humane Society.
A Graveside service will be held on May 4, 2018 at Cicero Cemetery at 2pm.
Joanne and I went to the same church together. We often went out to lunch after church. There was always a lot of laughter. I drove her to see her sister Jeanne in Kokomo. Again, a lot of laughter. You were a force of nature, Joanne. You will be missed.
