Mary Beth Heisserer, age 36, of Beech Grove, IN died on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was born on November 14, 1985 to Albert and Cora (Reeves) Shields.
An avid animal lover she was known to rescue several cats every year. She attended The Creek Church and for many years managed a Shell convenience store.
She leaves behind her daughter, Elizabeth Heisserer; parents, Albert and Cora Shields; brothers, Albert Shields, Jr. and Nyal (Hannah) Shields and sister, Debra (Jamie) Hacker; her beloved dog, Reese. She was preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents, Nora and Nyal Reeves and maternal grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth Shields; and her dog, Biscuit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mary Beth’s memory to F.A.C.E. Animal Clinic. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

I am sorry I could not be with you today as you said goodbye to Mary, but you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard. My heart breaks for all of you! May your memories and faith bring you peace. I will always remember Mary for her smile, spunk and sweet sass! I know how much she was loved!
