Michael David Trulock (Spike), 60, passed away on May 15, 2023. He was born November 16, 1962, in Indianapolis, IN, to James Trulock and to the late Judith (Mosby) Bretney. Michael lived a large part of his life in the Irvington community. He cherished his family home on Oak Avenue, passed down from his beloved grandmother Henrietta (Zink) Mosby when she passed away in 1997.
Michael had several passions in his life, one being music. His friends often called him a human jukebox. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He spent many years performing at local venues around Indianapolis. Michael was well respected among his performing peers and friends. A second passion was gardening; he spent much of his free time enjoying his backyard. He loved to plant flowers and watch them grow and bloom. Tulips and Lilies were some of his favorites. A third passion was baseball. Thus,
resulting in the nickname Spike. Michael also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes and making people smile. Above all, Michael’s most important thing in his life was his daughter, Carly Ann Trulock. She was the light of his life.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Henrietta Mosby; his mother, Judy Bretney; and his brother, Robbie Trulock.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Carly Ann Trulock; his first wife, Dawna Trulock; his second wife, Susan Trulock; his father, James Trulock; his stepmother, Jan Gildner; his brother, Jimmy Trulock; his nephew, Kyle Trulock; and niece, Korrie Trulock.
Visitation will be from 11am to 12pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 12pm. Graveside services will be private. Michael’s final resting place is Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
