Paul Lee Altes, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 29, 2021. He was born on June 19, 1963 in Indianapolis to George and Myrlene (Smith) Altes. Paul attended Arsenal Tech High School. He was a painter for most of his life, 30+ years.

Paul loved to spend time with family and especially the grandkids. He loved sports and Nascar, horses, and on his down time, Paul loved to landscape.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrlene Altes; his sister, Peggy Sue Altes; and his son, Vernon Drew Templeton.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Ashley Kirchner and Tiffany Wiarek; his son, Shawn Templeton; his father, George Altes; his sisters, Rebecca Gaied, Debbie Altes and Jan Altes; his brother, Jay Altes; grandkids, Dominic Ross, Ava Roucoulet, Jaylin Wiarek, Jayden Wiarek, Brooklyn Templeton, and Emma Templeton; and his beloved better half, Paula Wiarek.

Visitation is from 9:30am to 11:30am on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
