Phyllis Jean Scroggins
78, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 12,2017. She was born on September 18, 1938in Indianapolis, to the late Richard and Dorothy (South) Beckley. Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Arsenal TechHigh School and worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses. She was very active in the local Moose Lodge Chapter11 and loved to play cards and Euchre. Phyllis was an avid sports fan; cheering on the Indianapolis Colts andPacers. She is survived by her children,Terri (John Bingham) Paff, Kim (Tony) Hull, Marc (Doris) Scroggins, TracyStubbs, Todd Scroggins; 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, 1Great-Great-Grandchildren. Phyllis isalso survived by her siblings, Linda Glotfelty and Virginia “Ginny”Davenport. She was preceded in death byher parents; and brother, Richard Beckley, Jr. Services will be private with placement at Washington Park East Cemeteryat a later date. Memorial contributionsmay be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association orthe Moose Lodge. Cremation servicesentrusted to Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Lawrence.
The family would like to request for the guests coming tothe service to please wear your favorite Colts, Pacers, or College (for MarchMadness) attire to honor Phyllis’ Memory.
Loved spending time at her house with all my cousins growing up. I will miss this sweet lady, my aunt, a great mom, and super grandma.
