Randy Allen Slaven, 62, beloved mountain man, from Oneida, TN, passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the home of his family in Indiana, on October 8, 2021.
Randy was born on October 10, 1958, to Cleo Slaven and Phyllis (Trosper) Slaven. He was raised in Oneida, Tennessee and Muncie, Indiana. He lived an adventurous life in many places before returning to Tennessee.
Left to cherish his memory; his mother, Phyllis Slaven; his children, Stef Slaven and Justin Slaven; special grandson, Jaxton Slaven; Randy and Chad of California; 6 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; special step-granddaughter, Layne Harness; sisters, Sherry New, Sandy Slaven, Mary Stapleton, and Julie (Dustin) Jeffers; uncles, Clarence Trosper and R.O. Slaven; aunts, Linda Hamby and Jewel Trosper; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and acquaintances throughout Indiana and Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his father, Cleo Slaven; brother, Ricky Slaven; grandparents, Walter and Eva Slaven, Ewell and Mildred Trosper; uncles, George Trosper, Ralph Trosper, Warren Slaven and Audey Slaven.
A small burial ceremony will be held in Tennessee at a later date.
