Rebecca Jean Tarter, 59, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 29, 2023.  Becky was born on April 15, 1963, in West Virginia, to the late Helen Jean Burton McCluskey and Errol Emerson Griffin.  She was employed in the Microfilm Division of Digital Technologies for many years.  Becky was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rogena J. Griffin; mother, Helen J. McCluskey; and father, Errol E. Griffin.

Becky is survived by her husband, David L. Tarter; son, Joshua L. Tarter (Shasta); siblings, David Griffin (Shelia), Pauline Griffin (Jefferson Davis), and Michelle Griffin (Keith Bailey); three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

May you find peace and comfort in the promises of our Heavenly Father Jehovah, as found in His Word the Bible, at Acts 24:15: “…there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”, and Psalm 37:29: “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”

  4. Becky and I were best friends in our younger years. We were thicker then thieves back then. I seen she was on Facebook and we reconnected. We called each other and talked for hours to catch up.. she will be so missed!!! She was trying to take care of me worried about my health!!!! She was always trying to care for someone!!!! Love you my friend rip!!!!
