Robert “Bob” A. Roark Sr, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 10, 2018. Bob was the funniest person there was. He will be cherished and missed by so many. Bob grew up in “The Valley” and went to Washington High School, graduating in the class of 1957. He loved sports and participated on the track and basketball teams. Bob was a great singer and dancer.
Left to cherish Bob’s many fun and wonderful memories is his wife Patty Rhea (Mastin) Roark of 38 years. Children, daughter, Laurie Jo (Tim) Harris, son, Robert Jr. (Rhonda) Roark, daughter, Shannon (Russell) Smith. Step children, Jerry (Lisa) Chapman, Tracy (Tim) DeVore, Kelly (Dick) Downton, several grand and great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Greathouse, Lynda (George) Chapman. Best friends, Lee and Sue Scalf. He was preceded in death by his parents Delmer and Merdell Roark and step daughter, Debbie Baker.
Bob’s many hobbies included, cards, dice, golf, fishing and traveling.
Service will be held on Friday at 12:00 Noon at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, with visitation at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time. With the John Duncan, presiding. Burial will be at Westridge Cemetery.
Bob Roark your are our Funniest and Best Friend & Brother in-law that any family could ever have. You will be missed dearly , your are in our 💓 , Hearts forever. Will see you again in our next journey to the other side when it’s our turn.Love always Lee & Sue Scalf…..
