Ruth Edwards
77, passed away on December 25, 2016. She was born September 6, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Earl and Celia Kidd. She graduated in 1958 from Arsenal Technical High School. She was married to the late Willard T. Edwards. Ruth is survived by her beloved sister, Sue Ann Read and brother, Roy Earl Kidd. Her sister, Carol Jean Ratliff, preceded her in death.
Ruth was a long time member of Lawrence United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her friends and family, quilting, knitting, traveling, and photography. She had no children of her own, but she was asegregate mother to 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 great nieces, 5 great nephews, 1great-great niece, and 2 great-great nephews.
Among her many hobbies, she belonged to Eastern Star, Quilt Group, Red Hat Society, and the National Muzzle loading Rifle Association.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Lawrence United Methodist Church.
Services are at 12pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 N. Shadeland Avenue, with visitation from 10am until the time of the service. Entombment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis,Indiana. Arrangements by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
