Stanley “Stan” Easterwood, 50, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2019. He was born in Talladega, AL on July 17, 1969 by James Homer and Ida Mae Easterwood. He graduated from Talladega High School in 1987. Stan worked as the Dairy Manager for Needler’s Fresh Market.
Stan was a member of the Calvin W. Prather Masonic Lodge #717, where he has served as a Mason for 6 years. Stan was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #17, where he was a third-year trustee and his current position was serving as the junior Governor. He enjoyed helping with parties for the young kids during the holidays.
Stan loved to spend time with his family, going on vacation in Florida, spending time with his wife in Brown County, and going to wrestling games. His favorite shows to watch were WWE or anything that had to do with wrestling. Stan’s favorite football teams were Auburn University, the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Stan enjoyed being with his grandson, Jaxon, AKA “His Little Buddy”. He adored and loved this little guy with all his heart. Stan was so excited to be a “Papaw” again as his step-daughter, Halie, is expecting another baby boy in January.
He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; his brother, Leroy Easterwood; and his mother-in-law, Joan Rutherford.
Stan is survived by his wife of 9 years, Jennifer Easterwood; step-daughters, Halie Johnson and Hannah Johnson; father-in-law, Gary Rutherford; son-in-law, Aaron Drake; grandson, Jaxon; and expectant grandson, August; along with his siblings, Leona Grissett (Mike), Paula McCain (Chris), Billy Easterwood (Katherine), and James Easterwood; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom reside in Alabama.
A memorial service will be at 12pm on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a gathering starting at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and medical costs.
