After an extended illness, Tracy Grant Peterson, of Anderson, passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 61.
Tracy was born on September 26, 1961, to father Carl Peterson and Mother Jacqulyn Peterson, who both preceded him. He grew up as the youngest son in his family, with two older brothers, in Anderson. Tracy attended Madison Heights High School, and later joined the National Guard where he was proud to serve his country. He then moved into the manufacturing industry, and many other business ventures.
Tracy married Barbara Jean Peterson later. They lived in Anderson, IN where they raised their children Joshua, Jenna, and Jeremy.
Tracy was a great man with an unmatched work ethic. He always enjoyed working to provide for his family and loved traveling with them. He enjoyed going to festivals, auctions, listening to records, watching westerns, and was an amazing businessman. He had a sharp mind for business and never hesitated to try something new. Where most [people would fear starting a new business venture, Tracy met the task with excitement and hard work. Tracy had many different skills and believed that you could teach yourself to do most anything. This is a value and trait he passed on to his children, along with his great work ethic. He loved his family more than anything and would do anything for them.
Tracy is survived by his three children Joshua (Tori), Jenna (Ty), and Jeremy; 9 grandchildren Jeremiah, Lucas, Levi, Jaylea, Bailey, Loralye, Lilly, and one on the way; brother Terry Peterson (Sharon); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of many years Barbara Peterson, brother Carl “Pete” Peterson, and parents Carl and Jacquie Peterson.
Tracy requested to be buried alongside his loving wife Barbara Peterson at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, IN.

To one special cousin! I was so saddened to hear of Tracy’s passing, but I am so thankful I got to know him these past few years. I always enjoyed our talks, and I am going to miss them so much! I never got the chance to meet him in person but in the times we spent talking, he was truly a great guy – kind, loving, and so personable. He will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart, and I will cherish the friendship we built. Love you, Tracy!
Sending love, hugs, and prayers to his family!
