Alberta Lee

Alberta Howard Lee, affectionately known to many as “Bert” was born on April 24, 1934 to Mary Lillian Howard and Benjamin Howard in Houston, Texas. She also received her primary education in Houston, Texas.

Later, Alberta moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. She was united in holy matrimony to William Lee. Together they enjoyed many years of loving and raising their three sons, Andretti, William and Benjamin.

Alberta was employed as a cook and also worked with Home Health Care Services. Alberta enjoyed dressing and cooking. She was like a second mother to all. She also had a listening ear to anyone and everyone, no matter what you had to say.

Alberta departed this life of labor and ascended to her heavenly rest on December 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Benjamin.

Alberta leaves to cherish her memories her loving children, Andretti and William; her loving grandchildren, Daniel, William, and Daylan; four great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys and Bethal (Tiny) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10am to 11:30am on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with the service to start at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Sutherland Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
