Mr. Allen Earl Howze was born April 4, 1941, in Melvin, Alabama. He moved to Shubuta, Mississippi at a young age. Where he was raised by his mother, Mrs. Helen Marie Lindsey-Edwards and stepfather, Mr. Curtis Edwards, Sr.
Following his best friend and favorite uncle, Jimmy, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.
Allen began his working career as an asphalt layer, working for Indiana Asphalt for over 30 years. Where he retired from.
Allen was loved by many, and he loved having company at his house. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His favorite past time was fishing, playing the lottery, listening to music and enjoyed working on several family and friend’s cars with his friend Melvin.
At age 83, Allen departed his life on this earth on June 5, 2024. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Edwards, brothers, Percy Edwards, Sr., Johnny Edwards, and Allen Edwards, and sister, Ruby Sellers.
He will forever be remembered by his daughter, Denise Howze; grandsons Martez (Ilaina) Howze and Timothy Dungy, Sr.; great grandchildren, 2 girls and one boy; two brothers Curtis, Jr. (Rose), Eddie; one sister, Alice; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Allen’s precious memories, smiles, and love will forever be in our hearts.
