Alma Jean Giddings

83, of Valrico, Florida, passed away on September 28, 2016. She was born in Russellville, Kentucky on July 24, 1933 to the late Hubert and Mary White.
Alma Jean met the love of her life in 1971, Ronald Giddings, when he asked her to dance and were inseparable after that. They got married 3 years later, and were together ever since. Ron and Jean lived most of their lives together in Noblesville and on the East Side of Indianapolis, him driving his semi and her working as a LPN and getting to go with him sometimes on his across country trips. In their spare time, they loved to dance and sing karaoke. Jean even won a karaoke competition when she was 16, she was that good. She also loved going to yard sales and thrift stores. For the past 8 years, Jean and Ron have enjoyed living in Florida, being able to go to the beach and boating anytime they could. But the most important thing that Jean really loved to do was spending time and talking with her friends and family. Even though she was able to travel and sometimes was far away, she always cherished the moments that she had with everyone that she loved.
Jean is survived by her: husband of 42 years, Ronald Giddings; children, David Anderson and Charmaine (Joe) Kincade; step-children, Traci Giddings and Ron Giddings, Jr.; sisters, Peggy (Dan) Long, Sue (Mike) Stingley, Erlene (Paul) Barrett, Pauline Davis, and Betty Roberts; and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren … way too many to count.
Jean is preceded in death by her: sister, Linda Ransom; brothers, Edward and Junior White; along with her parents.
Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue. A graveside service will be at 3pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.
