Alyce Raelene Carlton, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 22, 2021. She was born on January 2, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Chester and Dorothea (Williams) Rowland. Alyce graduated from Broadripple High School in 1968. She was a secretary for Aamco, retiring in 2009. Alyce was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church, Rebekahs-independent order of Odd Fellows, Brownie leader, and a Girl Scout Leader.

Alyce met her husband, Mirron, at church when they were young. They got married on the 21st of October 1967, and raised their family here in Indianapolis. Alyce loved shopping and scrapbooking, and making her family happy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above.

Alyce is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mirron Carlton; children, Daphne Stewart {Scott}, Christopher Carlton {Veronica}; grandchildren, Scott Stewart {Stacy}, Mellisa Marshall {Dustin}; great grandchildren, Riley Marshall, Logan Marshall, Jocelynn Stewart, Jaden Stewart, Jayce Stewart, Hayleigh Nevins, Peyton Nevins, and James Nevins; siblings, Cynthia Nave {Don}, Stewart Rowland {Wendy}; nieces, nephews, and cousins, Stephen Close, Donnie Nave, and Elizabeth Nave.

There will be a memorial service at 2pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church, 2599 E 98th Street, Indianapolis, IN, with a gathering to start at 1PM. Cremation services provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
