Andrew Nana Agyeman

Andrew (Andy) Nana Afrane Agyeman was born on September 14,1959 in Ghana West Africa to Madam Amma Taakyiwaa and Mr. Kwadwo Nantwi. He was the 10th child out of twelve children. He grew up playing soccer and traveling. 

In his early twenties, he moved to the US and has called Minnesota, California, Washington, Texas and Indiana home. Professionally, he worked in electronics, avionics, computers, and international trade. He volunteered as a Parliamentarian and was active in several Ghanaian associations. 

Andy died peacefully on January 19, 2025 from pancreatic cancer. He fostered civility, laughter and sincerity. Andy will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Obeng, his daughters Tracy Durbin, Theresa Agyeman, Kai Agyeman, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild as well as countless other family members and close friends who loved him and held him dear. 

A Memorial will take place on January 31, 2025 at 12:30 pm at Legacy Funeral Home 5215 North Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Following the service, entombment will take place at Sutherland Park Cemetery 4140 Millersville Road, Indianapolis, IN.
