Ardith I. Freeman

Born December 19, 1940 in Greencastle, In. she was the daughter of Dale C. Thompson and Sherilne (Kessler) Thompson.
She married Wesley Eugene Freeman on April 23, 1957 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1990. She worked for the state of Indiana and the Indianapolis Public School system serving a combined 30 plus years until she retired from I.P.S. in 2002.
She was a member of Light House of Mercy church for 13 years. She was a devoted fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers. She enjoyed serving special needs children and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her pets, dogs Jake and Rex and Punky the cat.
Survivors include sons Wesley D. Freeman (Joyce) and Eric E. Freeman; daughters Tina R. Sluder (Tim) and Lora L. Simpson (Ken). 17 Grandchildren Brandy Felts (Chris) Robert Freeman (Melanie) Wesley D.J. Freeman (Stephanie) Tiffany Parker (Eugene) Joshua Freeman (Wendy) Brandon Wiggington; Jennifer Sons (Greg) Jessica Garrard (Michael) Sharron Hampton; Adrian (Aaron) Timmons; Eric E. Freeman Jr. (Amber) Jessica Freeman; Erica Freeman; Andre' (Buzzy) Clarke (Deceased) John Michael Carter; Ema Carter; Bruce E. Carter Jr; 30 Great Grand children and 1 Great Great Grand child.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 sister, 2 brothers and 1 grandchild. When someone would say to her 'I love you' she would always respond 'I love you more' She explained that she loved us More because she loved us first.
Visiting will be Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Legacy Funeral Home 5215 N. Shadeland Av Indianapolis, In 46226 from 1 - 3pm with services immediately following.
