Barbara Hahn

Barbara Hahn, 97, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 9, 2020. She was born on October 26, 1923 in Taksony, Hungary to the late Frank and Maria (Wagner) Ruff. She immigrated to the United States in 1958, with her husband, Michael Hahn and son, George Hahn and became citizens in 1965. In her new home, she nurtured her passions for gardening and cooking and was a founding member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Westlake, Ohio and became members of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she loved attending services with her family since 2001.

Barbara always treasured being with her sister, Eva Gaal and her sons Geza Gaal and Attila Gaal. Barbara cherished living in Indianapolis to be with her son and his wife, George & Tyran Hahn; grandchildren, Tonia Walker, Eric Hahn, Kimberly Donovan, and Robert Hahn; along with her 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Due to the Pandemic, services will be private on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Barbara’s final resting place will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
