Ms. Barbara Joan Boyce

Barbara Joan Boyce, age 87, of Indianapolis, IN died on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her residence at Harrison Terrace. She was born on December 19, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Forest Ruben Pardue and Alta Esther (Schnedeker) Pardue.

She worked for the US Government at Naval Avionics.  In addition to her work she loved her church family at Irvington United Methodist Church where she was an active member, especially in the woman’s group.  She also loved to travel as well as spend time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Gregory (Cindy) Boyce of Indianapolis; daughter, Sharon L. Lean of Littleton, CO; granddaughters, Alexandria and Jaclyn Lean; nephew, William (Beverly) McKay and niece, Jennifer (Rod) McKay-Gillen.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 46 years, Jack K. Boyce.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial donations in memory of Ms. Boyce can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
