Barbara Kay Brown Fitzgerald, 59, passed away at St.Vincent’s Regional Hospital on March 14, 2017. She was born on December 13, 1957 in Lake City, Tennessee to Anna MaeBrown.

Barbara worked as a waitress at the 24 Hour Lunch near14th and Meridian. She alsoworked at Mathew’s Supermarket in the deli.

Barbara enjoyed crocheting and coloring. She didn’t watch much TV, but loved listeningto the police scanner. She kept up withher family and friends on Facebook and talked daily with her cherisheddaughter, Alisha.

She was a sweet southern lady that loved to helpeverybody and had a big heart. She wasknown to be stubborn, but was very loving, funny and kind-hearted.

Left to treasure Barbara’s memory is her daughter,Alisha Garza; grandsons, Malachi Garza and Noah Garza; brothers, Larry(Carolyn) Brown, Leonard (Sue) Brown, and Jimmy Brown; several nieces, nephews,and cousins; special friend and caregiver, Steve Cooper; and her special fourlegged girl, Diamond.

Preceding Barbara in death are her parents; brotherand sister-in-law, Don and Clarice Brown; sisters-in law, Nancy Brown and BettyBrown; and father of her daughter, James Fitzgerald.

Arrangements are pending at Legacy Cremation &Funeral Services.
