Betty Ann Conner

Betty Ann Conner (Artman), 86, from Indianapolis IN passed away on June 5, 2020. She was born on June 22, 1933 in Greencastle, IN to the late Roy and Alice Smock.

Betty graduated from Washington High School in 1950. She was a social worker Barrington Health Center out of Indianapolis retiring in 2001. Betty was a member of (neighborhood organizations, Healthnet local healthcare organizations, clubs, leagues, etc.)

Betty loved to be around her family and friends, she organized neighborhood cleanup crews. She loved to help in the neighborhood to make sure everybody had what they needed; she went to at least two meetings a week for many organizations.

Betty is survived by her children, Alice Williams, Phil Artman, 14; grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren, brother, Frank Smock, sister in-law Connie Smock and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; along with her husband, Kenneth E. Artman, son Kenneth R. Artman, daughter Pamela Ann Cartwright,

Betty’s final resting place will be at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, IN. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Mary Riggs Community Center Indianapolis, IN.
