– Betty Ann Perdue
Betty was born on January 8, 1948 and passed away on February 8, 2022 in Anderson, when she got her wings to walk with the angels. She was the mother of 7 children but always had time for anyone. Betty’s greatest love was her family and all her children were proud to call her mom. She was the daughter of Lisle and Margaret McMahan. She attended Anderson High School, from there she was employed at Rolling Hills nursing home as a CNA. She then went on to be a teacher’s aide.
Betty enjoyed listening to a variety of music from Elvis to Kid Rock, singing along on her Karaoke machine to the song “Picture”, going to the Anderson Speedway, bingo playing Skip bo or just sitting outside listening to her police scanner, but mostly she loved being with family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Lisa McKee, David Scruggs, Paula [John] Crouch, Allen Scruggs, Kathy [Rick] Scruggs, Christina [Rob] Scruggs, sister Judy [Jeff} Austin, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Previously departed loved ones include, her husband, William ”Bill” Perdue, son Terry Scruggs, granddaughter Chelsea Williams, both parents, brother Ronnie McMahan and her youngest sister, Mary King.
