Betty “Pat” Brown, 92, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on April 13, 2025. She was born on September 18, 1932, in Anderson to Lowell and Lena Roby.
Pat was a woman of many passions and a heart full of love—especially for dogs, the beach, and her family. She was an excellent swimmer and taught lessons at the YMCA in the 1950s. She loved to travel. Her favorite places to visit were Destin Beach, Florida, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where she made many special memories.
She was a graduate of Anderson High School and went on to study medical transcription, later becoming a skilled sonographer. Pat worked in several hospitals throughout her career but spent over 20 years serving at St. John’s Hospital, where she eventually retired. She loved her job.
Pat was married to Howard Brown for 46 wonderful years. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. She attended Maple Grove Church of God, where her faith was a guiding light in her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Noland (Mark); her stepson, Rick Brown (Corina); grandchildren Chad Brown (Lisa), Michael (Bridgette) Noland, and Lindsey Brown-Zinzer; and great-grandchildren Melissa Brown, Joseph Noland, and Vivian Noland.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Brown.
