Betty Anne Sobek

Betty Anne (Gurneck) Sobek, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1936 to Frank and Elizabeth Gurneck.

Betty Anne graduated from St. Francis de Sales in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania and then went on to work for Rand McNally for 25 years as the Payroll Supervisor.

She was a proud member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Guild & Perpetual Adoration.

Betty Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Gurneck, brother, Frank Gurneck, sister, Claudette Heinlein, sister, Carol Azzarelli and son, Bradley Charles Warren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 38 years, John Edward Sobek, step children, David Allen Sobek, Karen Marie Sobek, Sharon Lynn (Sobek) Gordon, Brian John Sobek (Lisa), 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road, Fishers, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Betty Anne’s memory.
