Beverly Jean Pierce

Beverly Jean Pierce, age 93, of Anderson, passed away at her home on May 20, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 15, 1928 to Ben Horst and Dulce Brown.

Beverly was a 75-year member of Park Place Church of God in Anderson. She was a proud founder and volunteer at the Park Place Church Pantry for 33 years. She was loved by all who knew her. She was known as “Sarge” at the pantry, but everyone loved to be around her. She worked many places throughout her life, but most recently retired from Target after many years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Beth Carlson (Keith), Joan Crabtree, and Thomas Dale Pierce; grandchildren Skip Sipes (Megan) and Thomas Samuel Pierce; and great-grandchildren Aden Sipes and Erin Sipes.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband Thomas A. Pierce; and 2 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Park Place Church Pantry.

A visitation will be held on May 26. 2021 from 12-1pm with a funeral service beginning at 1pm at Park Place Church of God in Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
