Bobby Dan Nolan

Bobby Dan Nolan was born March 18, 1956 in Portageville, Missouri. He was the first child born to Sam Davis Jr. and Betty Jean Nolan. Bobby was educated through the Portageville public school system and graduated from Portageville High School.

Bobby visited family in Indianapolis, Indiana. Little did he know, he would meet the love of his life, Terita. In 1979, Bobby relocated to Indianapolis and on March 16, 1982 he was united in holy matrimony to Terita Darlene Holloway. To this union, four children were born, Lisa, Robert, Stephanie and Bobby Jr. He was also blessed with three other children, Tanisha, Jessica, and Damon.

Bobby was a hard worker and rarely missed a day of work. He was always very punctual, arriving extra early. He was employed at Applebees for over 20 years and held various other jobs. Bobby was a believer in Christ.

Bobby loves sports. He was a diehard Patriots fan. He had the hats, the coats, the shoes, the socks, blankets, and any other Patriots souvenirs you could find. He would watch every game they would play and then would call around to family members to ask, “guess who won”, especially when they beat the Colts.

Bobby was a wonderful grandparent and loved spending times with his grandchildren. They always wanted to go to Paw Paw’s house. They would do whatever he was doing, if they wanted to lay down and go to sleep they would go to sleep with him. Bobby was very opinionated and he never met a stranger. He would have long conversations with anyone. You could go to the store with him and the next thing you know you’re there for an hour as he’s in the store talking to someone new.

Bobby Dan Nolan departed this life on June 2, 2019 at the age of 63 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his beloved wife of 37 years, Terita Nolan; his daughters, Lisa (Derrick) Cohen, Stephanie and Jessica Nolan and Tanisha Resonno; sons, Robert Nolan, Bobby Nolan Jr., and Damon (Trish) Taylor-Nolan; nine grandchildren, Myesha, Iehsa, TyJuan, Miracle, Tristen, Derrick, Tyler, Jordan, and Tegan; brothers, Sammy Davis, Larry, Clyde, David, and Frankie Nolan; sisters, Toni and Tammy Davis, Sarah Irma and Carolyn Nolan; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Bobby’s celebration of life service will be starting at 3pm on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a gathering starting at 2pm until the start of the service.
