Carlton "Buddy" Emery Horne Jr.

Carlton “Buddy” Emery Horne Jr., 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 15, 2023.  He was born on May 30, 1957, in Sarasota, Florida, to the late Carlton Horne Sr. and Ida Marie (Maynard) Cristiani.  Buddy joined the Army right after High School.  His mother moved up to Indiana and was joined later by his sister.  And then Buddy decided in his 20’s to move up to Indiana too. 

Buddy was a jack of all trades, but mostly a furniture mover as his occupation.  He assisted with the Colts, along with other organizations.  He loved football and bowling. He was in several bowling leagues.  But he especially loved his chihuahua, Ruby.  Buddy was a wonderful person, he always wanted to make everyone laugh. He will truly be missed. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pamella Saltsman (who has now passed away on September 23, 2023); daughters, Pamela Conn (Bo), Shelly Phillips (Chris) and Sherry Ritchie (Jason); siblings, Tracey Eyre, Kim Allen, Scott Winslow, and Judy Franklin; several grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Buddy’s visitation will be together with Pamella's on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 10am to 1pm, with a service to start at 1pm.  Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
