She was employed by General Motors, Anderson until the plant closed at which time she became self -employed and cleaned homes for many friends in the Anderson area. Many treasured friendships were a result of her time living at Harter House and Providence of Anderson.
Her life story is one of hardship having lost her father as a child. She was a hardy soul who loved people and worked hard with an energetic spirit. After her conversion she cultivated a relationship with Jesus by studying her Bible, copying the Scriptures, attending church services and listening to good teaching on Christian radio.
The family wishes to thank those who ministered to her in various care facilities and especially her pastors. A special note of gratitude to the staff of Kindred Hospice Care.
A celebration of Carolyn and her life in Christ will be Friday, April 19, 2019 at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, visitation from 10-12 noon, service at 12. Because Carolyn chose to be cremated there will be no graveside service. Pastor Don Deena Johnson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carolyn’s great-grandchildren.
