Charles Braden

Charles Braden, age 71, of Anderson, passed away on February 20, 2020 at his home. He was born on September 17, 1948 to the late Selbert Lewis Braden Sr. and Nannie Jewell (Pitts) Braden.

Post-graduation from Anderson High School, Charles worked for General Motors for 31+ years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was Past Master three times. Charles was a loving, caring, silly, extremely giving person. If you called him, he would usually be watching whatever sport that was in season on TV. He was an extremely family oriented man and family always came first to him. He loved seeing people smile and was always kind and compassionate. Charles didn’t know a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charles is survived by his children Jim Boone (Cathy) and Angela Braden; grandchildren Sydni Boone, Rylee Boone, Kaleb Mitchem, Derrick Mitchem Jr., and Kyla Mitchem; great-granddaughter Emerson; siblings Selbert Lewis Braden Jr. (Bonnie), Janice Pickett (Thomas), Paul Braden (June), and Melvin Braden; nieces and nephews Bruce Braden, Jennifer Blair, Timothy Pickett, Troy Pickett, Trent Pickett, Elyse Braden, and Kelly Braden; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Phillip D. Foley, Gary Meeker, Tom Pickett, and Jim Koons.

He is preceded in passing by his wife Linda Braden; parents listed above; nephew Todd Pickett; and several aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held on February 27, 2020 from 12pm-1:30pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:30pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
