Charles R. "Chuck" Bowers

Charles R. (Chuck) Bowers, 59, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away suddenly on June 6, 2021. Chuck was born on May 22, 1962 to Charles K (Bud) and Sharon Bowers. Chuck graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1981 and spent most of his life working as a roofer.

Chuck was a very funny, outgoing person who knew no strangers. Everyone who knew him would tell you that he was quite the storyteller. He loved spending time with his beloved family. He also enjoyed his annual fall trip driving his father, Bud, down to Florida, spending a few weeks with him and the many friends he had gotten to know along the way on those trips.

Chuck is survived by his girlfriend of 23 years, Christy Harris; his Father, Charles K (Bud) Bowers; 2 daughters, Chelsea and Sharon; two children he raised, Jeffrey and Ashley Harris; two sisters, Pam (Jeff) Schiele, Becky (Tim) Dunigan; one grandson, Zavien Green; three granddaughters, Allie Mae, Mahala, and Makayla Harris; two aunts, Joan Parsley and Debbie Ward as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother listed above, and his grandparents; Dorothy & Charles K. Bowers Sr. and Joseph & Mildred Bryant.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15^th, 2021 from 11:30am – 1:30pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, located at 1604 W Morris St, Indianapolis, IN 46221, with a graveside service immediately following at West Newton Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest close to those loved ones who preceded him.
