to Rev. Charlie Jackson, Sr and Mrs. Mary Bell Jackson (Turner).
He professed a belief in Christ at and early age. Charlie served in the military (Army)
from September 4, 1968 to September 3, 1970. This included one year in Vietnam.
He received the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze
Service Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Charlie enjoyed a successful career with the Berkeley United School District until
he retired in 2012.
Charlie transitioned this life on Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was preceded in death by
his Father, Rev Charlie Jackson, Sr., Mother, Mary Bell Jackson; Brothers, Jerry Jackson
and Leon Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memory; Wife, Jerline Bolden-Jackson, Daughter, Edna M.L. Jackson
of Indianapolis, Indiana. Stepdaughters: Sharon D. Davis of San Leandro, Calif., Tanny Jasper of
Stockton, Calif., and Tasha (Marcus) Blackmore of Pittsburgh, Calif. Grandchildren: najaye, Riyon,
Charity, Mario, Gabby, Kevin, Adrion, Tyrin and Anisa. Sister: Rose Marie Graham of Oakland, Calif.,
Brother: Leonard Jackson of Jacksonville, Fl. Two Nephews Durwin Perry Sr. of Oakland, Calif and
Bret Jackson with a host of other relatives local and distant relatives too numerous to name.
