Mr. Charlie Ross Stratton Jr.

Charlie Ross Stratton, Jr., age 72, of Indianapolis, IN died on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born on December 11, 1946 in Forth Worth, TX to the late Charlie R. Stratton, Sr. and Pauline (Liles) Stratton.

He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1965 until 1971.  After his military career he worked for the Air Force and then the Department of Defense for 30 plus years as an accountant.  He enjoyed carpentry work and loved spending any free time he could with family.

He is survived by his wife Darlene K. Stratton; children, Richard Stratton, Kenneth (Jenny) Stratton, Bethany White, Jereme Stratton, Jessica (Jet) Kay and Corey Starks; grandchildren, Garry Stratton, Oliver Stratton, Trever White, Tyler White, Gabrielle Stratton, Charleigh Stratton, Kaeden Kay and Kolten Kay; sister, Charlene (Charles) Appelman; his two beloved dogs, Duke and Dolly.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Joetta Young.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1st Church of the Nazarene, 9401 E. 25th St., Indianapolis, IN at 2:00 p.m. with Visitation with the family beginning at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
