Charlotte J. Burton

Charlotte J. Burton, age 84, of Anderson, passed away on March 14, 2019. She was born on January 21, 1935 to the late Fred and Ada Miller.

Charlotte was born in Anderson, but raised with her siblings in an orphanage in Knightstown, In. After graduating high school, she started working for Delco Remy. She was a very influential part of getting equal pay for women in the 1970’s. She loved to fish with her late husband. Charlotte will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her brother Jim Miller; son Brad Burton, grandson Nathan Burton; 6 great-grandkids; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen E. Burton, Siblings Fred Miller, Joe Miller, John Miller, Sandy Leaper, Jean Stout, daughter Debra Jane Burton, and grandson Matthew Burton.

A visitation will be held on Thursday March 21, 2019 from 6-8pm with a funeral service beginning at 8pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.
