(Charlotte) Michelle Mckenzie

(Charlotte) Michelle McKenzie, 55, of Anderson, passed away Christmas Day 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 31, 1965 to Dennis Ward and Charlene (Ward) Cermak.

Michelle graduated Pendleton Heights High school and lived in Madison County the majority of her life. She was an outgoing and charismatic person who loved meeting new people. She enjoyed working at Countryside Manor and St. Johns Hospital, where she was a Surgical Technician. She was a caregiver to her grandmother Roberta and grandfather Charles. She and Charles lived together for many years and were very close. She was happiest spending time with her granddaughter Aleeseeia and adored being a grandma.

She enjoyed Nascar, traveling, camping, attending concerts, browsing Facebook, and most of all spending time with her family and companion Gary Eckelbarger. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Michelle is survived by her children Ashley McKenzie and Austin McKenzie; her granddaughter Aleeseeia McKenzie; Mother Charlene Cermak; two siblings Melissa Ward and Mickey Ward; nieces and nephews Mason Ward, Allison Byard, Zarah Potter, Abbey Uttley, and Hunter Uttley; and great niece and great nephew Dakota Byard and Ellie Parker.

She is preceded in death by her father Dennis Ward; son Michael Crose; Grandfather Charles Solid and Grandmother Roberta Solid.
