Cheri Marcha (Sams) Hartmann

Cheri Marcha (Sams) Hartmann, 71, of Zionsville, Indiana, peacefully passed away on June 10, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 20, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to the late Charles Sams and Mary (Stuart) Silvey.

Cheri graduated in 1964 from Howe High School and went on to study at Purdue University. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and never knew a stranger. She was fond of meeting new people and had an abiding love of beauty wherever it could be found.

Cheri is survived by her husband, Carl Jr. (whom she was married to just 2 days shy of 43 years); children, Robert, Carl III, and Christine; grandchildren, Drew, Cole, Halle, Connor, and Natalie; siblings, Brenda and Melonie.

Visitation begins at 11am on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, located at 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue. A brief service will begin at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
