Chester C. Skaggs

Chester Carrol Skaggs of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away on December 2, 2023, in Anderson at the age of 79. Chester was born on April 11, 1944, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Rugal Skaggs and Betty (Graham) Skaggs.

Chester originally worked as a salesman selling cars. He would later go on to have many different jobs including owning a flea market and owning a bar before retiring. Although he enjoyed his business endeavors, the biggest part of his life was his family and friends. He was known for spoiling his wife, kids, and grandkids. He loved spending time with his friends and neighbors. He didn’t know a stranger; he would talk to anyone that approached him. Chester was known for being sassy and having a comeback for everything, his witty remarks will be missed by all. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chester is survived by his wife Margie Skaggs; his children Terri, Donna, Donald, and Gary Lee; his nieces and nephew Brenda, Rhonda, and David; 13 grandkids; 24 great-grandkids.

He is preceded by his parents listed above; brothers JC, Eddie, David, and Fred; daughter Veronica Sue; grandkids Ronnie Cole and Timmy; and great-granddaughter Ansleigh.

A graveside service will be held on Friday December 8, 2023 at 12pm at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
