Christopher Green

Christopher (Chris) Wayne Green, 53, passed away on July 11, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. Chris is survived by his parents; Earnest Green (Jan), Mary Moore (Wayne), his sister; Kathy Harrison (Reggie), two sons; Justin Green and Aaron Green (Nicole), his children he raised together with Nanci Moncel; Genea Moncel, Maryah Weber (Caleb), Cody Moncel, two nieces; Stephanie Winters, Jessica Winters, and two grandchildren; Dawson (Rooster) Green and Scarlett (Pickle) Moncel who were the light of his life. Along with countless relatives and friends that were his family. 

He was born on October 15,1970 in Greenfield, IN. Graduated from Warren Central High School in 1989. Owned and ran Certified Automotive and Machine Shop since 1995. He crafted his love of cars from a young age by working with his grandpa’s, Dad and Uncles. He became a well-known engine builder in the racing world locally and far away. Spending countless nights in the pits at Indianapolis Speedrome where he continued his family’s racing history. 

Chris loved family gatherings more than anyone and looked forward to all the stories and history he would learn when everyone gathered. He was a jokester and loved to play pranks, laugh and cause trouble, good and bad, wherever he went! He will be greatly missed by so many. He leaves a legacy of racing that will not be forgotten. The number 52, which was chosen to honor his Grandpa Harritt and his love of Church’s Chicken, will forever be memorialized by those who continue to support his Team. You taught us all how to be #GreenStrong and we will honor you by living in our strength even as we carry on with our broken hearts.
