The second oldest child of Booth and Unadelle Hicks, Clarkgrew up on the west side of Indianapolis, where he attended Washington HighSchool, graduating in 1958. He playedfootball and baseball as well as serving as the President of the Letterman’sClub.

Beyond his high school years, Clark remained athletic,playing softball for decades. On October6th, 1996 he was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame. Clark served our Nation proudly as a Marineand beyond his active duty in the Reserves.

On January 6th, 1969 after only a month longwhirlwind courtship, Clark married the love of his life, Frances DarleneClark. They shared 47 years together.

Always a hard working family man and provider, Clark, aCommunications Manager for Western Electric, retired in 1985 after 28 years ofservice.

In retirement, he decided to continue to work. He served as a Superintendent for Gene B.Glick for an additional 16 years, fully retiring in 2004.

Clark is survived by his wife, Frances Darlene Hicks; children,Mary Lynn, Martin Lee and Dale Gregory; granddaughter, Nichole Marie; greatgrandchildren, Ashley Rae and Austin Jakob; great great granddaughter, Aria Rayne;brothers, Bobby and Gary; as well as his sisters, Donna and Cheryl.
