Clayton A Sanders III, from Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2020 at the age of 69. Clayton, lovingly known as “Clay” or “Pa”, is survived by his wife Glenda J. (Fancher) Sanders; his children Valorie J. (Sanders) Feasel and Jeffery C. (Joy) Sanders; his sister Debra R. (Roy) (Sanders) Wetzel; his grandchildren Jordan C. (Sara) Feasel, Cheyenne M. Sanders, J. Alex Feasel, J. Luke Sanders, Jackson E. Feasel; and his great-granddaughter Dhova K. Sanders. He is predeceased by his parents Clayton A. Sanders Jr. and Inez R. (Downs) Sanders.
“Clay” was born on September 23,1950 to Clayton A. Sanders Jr. and Inez R. (Downs) Sanders. He worked faithfully and diligently as a truck driver for Schneider Transport and Old Dominion Freight Line, and was the recipient of two Million Miles Accident-Free Awards. He enjoyed finding a good deal on eBay, saving money, fixing things, and working on cars. He treasured his family deeply, loved family cookouts, and spending time with his grandchildren. Clay will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
In leu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Far Fetched Dog Rescue and the Indianapolis Animal Care & Control in honor of “Pa”’s loving heart for his dogs Spike and Sophie, and grand-dog Baby Ruby.
