Cora Maria Nickerson

Cora Marie Nickerson, age 70, passed away on October 5, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 28, 1948 to the late James and Dortha (Clevenger) Cunningham.

Cora spent most of her time shopping, going camping, crafting, and spending time with her granddaughters. She was a member of the Anderson American Legion most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cora is survived by her husband Robert W. Nickerson; children Robert L. Nickerson, Barbara Ann Nickerson, Timmy J. Nickerson (Donna), John F. Nickerson (Cherissa), Toby Eldridge, and Billy Nickerson (Carolyn); grandchildren Kaitlyn Nickerson, Shylo Nickerson, Shayla Nickerson, Lacey Nickerson, Aaron Brown, and Austin McKinney; great-grandchild Paizlee McKinney; Special family Karen K. Johnson of Washington, Easter Cunningham of Tennessee, and Jimmy Nickerson (Bev) of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Forrest Clevenger Jr., Charles Lycan, Paul Cunningham, Larry Cunningham, Phillip Cunningham, Johnny Lycan, Jimmy Cunningham, Becky Cunningham, and Hilda J. Killin.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 9, 2019 from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Rev. Tim Cunningham will be officiating. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
