Anderson

In loving memory of Cynthia "Cindy" Burch who was born on September 18th, 1968 and tragically passed away at her home in Anderson, Indiana on June 29th, 2024.

Cindy was the daughter of amazing parents John Gross and Sandra Kleyla. John previously owned the Shamrock bar in downtown Anderson, Indiana. Sandra worked for over twenty years for General Motors. Both preceded her in death.

Cindy is survived by her children Ashley Ogburn, Anthony Ogburn, Jr., and Brianna Cornwell; as well as her siblings Jeffrey Gross, Lisa Berryman, and Amanda Rodriguez. She has one grandchild, Elijah Blaylock. And her lifelong best friend, Preston Bunch.

Cindy was a homemaker and spent many years raising her three beautiful children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially Christmas celebrations at Grandma Hawkins' home in Connersville, Indiana. Cindy always opened her doors to the neighborhood kids, earning her the nickname of "Momma". She loved to cook, whether recipes passed down through the family or all new recipes from her favorite cooking shows. Her favorite meal to cook was tuna casserole which her family and the fat cat enjoyed, the children not so much.

Cindy was a firecracker! As the life of any party, you knew when she walked into a room. Not just because her bright red, long, curly hair and freckles. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and share her opinions, especially about the things she loved most. Cindy was a huge animal lover and activist. She cherished her pets very dearly, especially her dogs Ariel and Bullet. Other loves of Cindy's were Halloween, the Colts, the movie Titanic, rain and thunderstorms. Cindy was a generous person who wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off your back.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 25 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Anderson Museum of Art located at 32 Historic W 10th St. Please join the family in remembrance of Cindy. Drinks and appetizers will be provided. Flowers and/or donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
