With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cynthia Jane Teague on February 4, 2025. Cindy was a cherished family member and friend who brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, humor, generosity, love of animals, and infectious spirit, which touched the lives of many.
Cindy is survived by Ronald Teague, her sister Linda Lucas, her best friend Judy (Ed) Lempbcke, nieces and nephews Dana (Mike) Holis, David (Jill) Lucas, Karyne (Julie) Danaus, her stepchildren Ronald Jr. and Heather Teague, and many special friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Lou (stepfather Russ) Vollemhals, sister, Margie (Anderson) Newby, and nieces Deb Lucas and Tracy Henrich.
Cindy was a kidney transplant recipient, which she received in June of 2022. Recently, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Despite being the warrior she was, her body was just not strong enough to fight this terrible disease from which she passed away.
She was active in Trinity Episcopal Church in Anderson, Indiana. Cindy also actively rescued and fostered dogs until they found their forever homes. She was a member of many rescue missions, such as Greyhound Rescue of Indiana and Madison County Human Society. Cindy loved music and going to concerts. Most of all, she loved being home with her dogs.
