Danis Lee Kelley-Gaines

Our beloved Mother was born Danis Lee Kelley, alsoaffectionately known as Butch, to the union of Willie Lee and Bobbie JeanKelley in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 7, 1947. Danis completed her education at CrispusAttucks High School. Danis married PercyLee Ealy, and to this union was born six children; Stephanie Lynn Ealy, DamonEaly (Angela), Terrell Ealy, Percy Romaine Ealy (Aretha), Lavonya Ealy(Howard), and Sandra Denise Ealy (Hurns). Danis later remarried Edward Leroy Gaines who preceded her in deathDecember, 2008. Danis worked variousjobs in the Indianapolis area. Danis,also known as “Granny”, had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Granny leaves behind to mourn her memory sixchildren, grandchildren, great grand-children, three sisters; Debra Noel,Dorice Pullins, and Donna Lacey, along with a host of nieces, cousins, andfriends.

Services will be at 3pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Legacy Cremation& Funeral Services – Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN,with visitation from 2pm until the start of the service.
