Darrell Gene Jackson, age 69, of Anderson, passed away at his home after a courageous 5-year battle with ALS. He was born on November 18, 1951 to the late Hillard C. and Robertta Jackson.
Darrell was a graduate of Madison Heights High School, Class of 1970. Before retiring in 2013 after 32 years, Darrell worked as a Bench Jeweler for Fadely’s The Jeweler. He loved to spend as much time as he could at Dale Hollow Lake with his friends and family. He enjoyed music, especially The Beatles, garden railroading, and following the Blue Angels. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lucinda Jackson; children Kim (Mike) Plummer of Middletown, IN; and 2 granddaughters Caitlin Plummer and Emma Plummer, both of Middletown, IN; siblings Skip (Bunny) Jackson of Colorado Springs, CO, Jim Jackson of Anderson, and brother-in-law Vaughn (Sandy) Lineberry of Elwood, IN.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and Grandfather Clarence Richards.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice or the ALS Indiana Chapter. A special thanks to Heartland Hospice for all their care and compassion.
Cremation was handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
